History

The history Switzerland boarding school started with Paul Heubi ideas of providing expensive private education for curious and open minded international children. Paul Heubi opened a family boarding school in 1882.

• 1st generation of Heubi family has managed BrillantMont Switzerland Boarding School in 1882- 1902. At that time, our great-grandparents purchased the property and land around, as well as, established “Institut Supérieur d'Etudes Pratiques”. That emphasized art and language studies. 

• 2nd generation built a new building in 1928 and created the secondary school section with French curriculum in 1939.

• 3rd generation of Heubi family found English and American programs in 1948. The expansion was continued in 1962: a specialized Languages section was opened and the new teaching methods were introduced. BrillantMont was the pioneer school for audio-visual materials in language studies.

• 4th generation received an award for business program. In 1983, we were accredited by European Council and England Association of Schools, Colleges. We created co-educational boarding school program in 1992.

• 5th generation launched Swiss 10th school year program for Swiss German students, due to the requests and demand. We introduced AICE diploma and AS, A2 level examinations in 1999-2000. In the beginning of new millennium, we have launched a new website for parents-teachers-children communication and completed computer assisted learning project. BrillantMont International Boarding School continues to progress technologically and initiates digital, interactive site.  In 2004 we have been re-accredited by New England Association and European Council.
