Historic timeline

• 1960 – Leysin historic Switzerland Boarding School profile shows that the school was established at the countryside of the Aigle Swiss region.

• 1961 – 79 students applied for high school studies.

• 1982 – Dr. Steven and Doris Ott were nominated as headmasters of Leysin historic Switzerland boarding School committee.

• 1987 – Leysin was accredited by ECIS and MSA as a First International Boarding School

• 1990 – Kumon Leysin Academy opens and Leysin Switzerland Boarding School receives accreditation for International Baccalaureate Diploma

• 1999 – Leysin was recognized as a First Boarding High School which meets quality requirements of ISO 9001

• 2005 – Ownership of Leysin Switzerland Boarding School is passed to Swiss Foundation for Advancement of International Education. The managerial positions stay within founding family.
